View our latest COVID update below.

Dear Trinity community,

The COVID Task Force met recently to revisit our practices following the best guidance available. We have already seen a big uptick in COVID cases in our region, and that is expected to continue through the fall. COVID, Flu, RSV, and other respiratory viruses can all lead to hospitalization and death, especially for the medically vulnerable.

We strive to be a community that is inclusive, hospitable, and safe for all people, especially the most vulnerable, and so we encourage the following practices:

  • If you are sick or exhibiting any symptoms of illness, please stay home. If in doubt, play it safe and join us via live stream.

  • Follow the best scientific guidance for prevention, including updated vaccinations on an annual basis, as recommended by your doctor, and frequent handwashing.

  • If you have been exposed to a respiratory virus, please test at home, and wear a mask in large gatherings or when in close proximity to others. Free tests are available from the public library.

  • Many of our members are at higher risk for serious illness, while others may be caregivers to those at higher risk. It is recommended that those individuals wear masks when in large gatherings or close proximity to others. We encourage our community to be aware and take care: if you notice that others are masking around you, it can be an act of care and safety to offer to wear a mask, too. Masks are available at our main entry doors. If you need assistance finding a mask, ask a greeter.

  • On Sunday mornings, we simulcast worship in the Commons, where there is more space for safe distancing from others.

For those who test positive for COVID, current CDC guidelines for COVID recommend staying home until you are fever-free, without medication, for 24 hours, and feeling better. At that time, the CDC recommends mask-wearing when in public for an additional five days to keep others healthy.

If you have any questions, please reach out to any member of the COVID Task Force or Session. We are deeply grateful for the many ways you show care for each other and the community.
